| Market Overview & Technical Evolution
As the EV market transitions into the megawatt and ultra-fast charging era (480kW–600kW+), all-liquid cooling has become the absolute gold standard for thermal management.
To achieve shorter charging times, the industry operates on two fronts:
1. Increasing output power (requiring power module liquid cooling)
2. Boosting current (requiring charging cable/gun liquid cooling).
As the “heart” of the coolant loop, the reliability and performance of the liquid cooling pump directly determine the uptime and safety of the entire charging infrastructure.

EV Charger Liquid Cooling Pump Solutions – For Power Module
The Pain Points: Supercharging piles stack multiple AC/DC or DC/DC power modules, creating complex matrices that demand high flow rates and high lift to ensure uniform heat dissipation and prevent localized thermal runaway. Additionally, with sensitive smart management and communication systems onboard, the pump must deliver flawless Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) to prevent system interference.

EV Charger Liquid Cooling Pump Solutions – For Cable
The Pain Points: To keep liquid-cooled cables lightweight and flexible, internal cooling channels are designed to be “long and narrow,” introducing extreme system resistance (high back-pressure). Furthermore, when using dielectric oil (such as silicone oil) or glycol-water mixtures, the fluid viscosity spikes exponentially at sub-zero temperatures, causing conventional pumps to stall or fail to prime.

EV Charger Liquid Cooling For cable
TOPSFLO Solution (TA70E Centrifugal Pumps+TMG317 MG323 Gear Pump):
1) Cable Liquid cooling for coolant ( up to 400A )
Depending on the cable length and diameter, the resistance will vary and the cooling solution will be different. The smaller the cable diameter, the higher the resistance, and the longer the cable, the higher the resistance.
For low resistance, it is recommended to consider TOPSFLO centrifugal pump TA60E-B24-3521,TA70E-A24-4030
For high resistance, it is recommended to consider TOPSFLO gear pump TMG213, MG323
2) Cable Liquid cooling for dimethyl silicone oil (over 400A)
For high current cables of more than 400A, silicone oil is usually chosen as the cooling medium, which has relatively higher resistance. For this kind of high resistance cable cooling application, TOPSFLO newly developed a high pressure gear pump – TMG317, MG323, the maximum pressure up to 14 bar, can meet >600A cable cooling of charging connector.

| Conclusion
In high-power liquid-cooled charging piles, the charging cable current can reach 400A~600A+, generating a lot of heat. Due to weight restrictions, liquid-cooled cable are usually thinner and longer, resulting in greater resistance to liquid delivery, so liquid cooling systems are widely used. TOPSFLO customizes EV charger cable liquid cooling pumps for high-current gun lines, which can deliver media with a viscosity range of 0.220000cps to meet cooling needs under different working conditions.
In order to meet the needs of cold-plate liquid-cooled servers, Topsflo Pump has specially designed a water pump with a unique flat design for them, which can better solve the problems currently encountered by server manufacturers:
